Key Responsibilities & day-to-day tasks
Assist business head in preparation of Annual targets and operating plan
Initiate and follow-up on new business opportunities •
Understand customer requirements, get feasibility, and submit quotes on time •
Follow-up of submitted quotes on email, call.
Establish SOP and systems for - Dispatch, Enquiry tracking, Quality requirements, vendor registrations etc •
Develop tracking mechanisms Client agenda completion, order readiness (Sample & Bulk), and need based •
Co-ordinate with operations to oversee timely execution of sample and bulk orders • Identifications of process gaps and performance problems •
Work on building strong relationships with clients • Conduct market research (analyze competitors, Geography, products, sales strategy, etc.) •
Job Skills
Identify and participate in national and international conferences/exhibitions. Create a list of relevant exhibitions with complete details •
Conduct quarterly reviews of sales AOP and assist HOD in revision of plan/ strategy • Streamline the sales process flow by means of systems, dashboards, and reviews •
Look out for and participate in all tenders (government or non-government) - domestic and abroad •
Prepare and present periodic reports Order pipeline, Sample Status, etc. •
Plan and co-ordinate dispatch arrangements, documentations, and allied activity - internally and externally •
Attend strategy meetings with agents / distributors • Participate in client discussion meetings, minutes, and handle post meeting communication •
Identify solutions to client problems and create presentations for sales pitches •
Propose and execute improvement ideas in existing sales and marketing strategy.
