Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities Oversee the daily operation of the machine shop. Provide excellent support by responding to requests in a timely manner, managing workflow, and delegating jobs to supervisors. Mentor staff on job setups and machining skills. Maintain high quality standards with dimensional inspection when necessary. When necessary, locate and directly deal with outside vendors for the outsourcing of parts manufacturer Provide safety and technical training to supervisors & operators Maintain materials and tooling inventory Ensure that the machine shop remains a clean, safe and modern workplace. Maintenance and troubleshoot machine shop equipment when necessary. Expand the machine shops capabilities by researching the latest technologies, and by seeking professional and technical training.

Job Skills

• Proactive participation in technical and organizational improvement, collaborating with colleagues
• Support the purchase and procurement of equipment based on the needs of organization, by documenting the specifications of the equipment and by communicating with the manufacturers and vendors, etc.
• Maintain records regarding jobs, purchasing, research support, equipment maintenance and safety.
• Maintain all ERP related systems and documentations
• Provide quotations to Marketing for New product development.
